Southwest San Clemente is a heterogeneous community comprised of custom homes. Southwest San Clemente is where founder, Ole Hanson, first put his vision to construction in the 1920s. As part of the first master-planned communities built from totally open land in the United States, Hanson mapped out a city based on an ideal – roads that followed natural topography, architecture that mirrored historical roots, and amenities that reflected community values. Today the “Spanish Village by the Sea” may be more heterogeneous that his vision, but historical homeowners and current planning and development echo a collective identity in red roofs and white walls.
